Amie Thomas

Originally from Cornwall Amie has lived all over England including Devon, Lincolnshire and now Dorset. Brought up surrounded by all things music Amie spent most of her free time during school in productions ranging from Starlight Express to Bugsy Malone to We Will Rock You!

Amie studied Creative Media at college and instantly fell in love with everything radio and eventually joined AIR 107.2 in June 2013. She began in the Air Academy being taught by Derek Greenacre. Quickly Amie moved to learning the ropes on a show called Hijack and has remained there ever since.

Hijack is a show on Wednesday 8-10pm where members of the community take over the station for two hours, talking topics that interest them and playing whatever music from whoever they'd like or bring in a local band who play live on AIR 107.2 to the listeners of Weymouth & Portland.
